Eternal Options

Our Creator left us with a plan to live our lives in a purposeful, joyful, and meaningful pilgrimage here on planet Earth in preparation for a life hereafter...

God's message / plan is contained in His book, the Bible. His message can be summarized in three basic truths:

First - Our Condition
Second - God's Remedy
Third - Our Response

Thinking and meditative person with far away thoughts

Eternity in heaven is the destination for those who receive Jesus Christ's gift of eternal salvation. Contrary to popular belief, heaven is not for the church-goer or the "good people". The only stipulation is receiving / acknowledging God's atoning sacrifice of His Son for our sins- the gift of salvation.

Eternity separated from God, or Hell, is reserved for those who reject Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice for their sins.

The Bible sums up the Gospel in l Corinthians 15:3-4, "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures". This is called substitionary death. The perfect Lamb (Son) of God dying on our behalf - paying the ultimate price for our sins and rising the third day,

Becoming a Christian is the most important discovery of your life. Do you know what will happen to you the moment you die? There are only TWO destinations - and both are eternal! God made the ultimate sacrifice of His Son in order that sinful mankind can be redeemed by accepting this free gift of salvation that He has provided through the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son.

Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people; whereas, Hell is reserved for those who reject this provision.

Pertinent considerations to ponder in becoming a Christian:

You must realize that everyone has sinned. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". You must understand that you cannot live up to God's standard of holiness.

Understand that the penalty for our sins is death (spiritual and eternal). Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord".

John 3:18 "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
